Client Payment Policy
The purpose of this policy is to mitigate the risks of families falling beyond in payments to the point where there is little opportunity of completing the tuition contracts or other services offered in school such as hot lunch, additional lesson, activities etc.

Welcome to Studio 9! We are sincerely excited to have your family join our family, and invite you to actively be a part of our growing community. At Studio 9, students LOVE coming to school each day and IMAGINATION is key.

After School Registration
A fun, creative camp. Designed to keep the kids busy till you can get here to pick them up. We can usually be found in the visual art room or outside. On Thursdays we land in the computer lab. As we may be painting, a paint shirt (mens t-shirt) to leave onsite is recommended. 3:30 - 5:00 Monday to Friday. $14 a day or $220 per month.

Studio9 Facility Rentals
We offer art specific rooms, classrooms, activity room for 300 (gym space), computer lab & a commercial kitchen. We have rental space after 4 p.m. and on weekends for meetings, classes, workshops and gatherings.

Studio9 Code Of Conduct
The Studio9 Code of Conduct is designed to provide guidelines for appropriate student behaviour while under the jurisdiction of the school or at any school-sponsored function.

Independent Teachers Standards in B.C.
Pursuant to section 30 of the Teachers Act, the Director of Certification may issue an independent school teaching certificate to a person who meets the certification requirements and the independent school teaching certificate standards.

Child Abuse Policy
Studio9 Independent School of the Arts respects that the protection of children from abuse is a fundamental and legal responsibility of everyone in society and in the education system. This policy is intended to specifically address the responsibility of employees, volunteers and others interacting with students at Studio9.

Anti-Smoking Policy
As of September 2, 2007, all B.C. schools (K-12), both public and private, became totally tobacco-free (Tobacco Control Act section 2.2).

Substance Use Policy
Studio9 is committed to the health and safety of its students and anyone attending the School. The School recognizes that the use of drugs, tobacco, vapour products, alcohol, certain medications, and impairment generally can have serious effects on students and the learning environment.

Harassment and Bullying Prevention Policy
Studio9 is committed to providing a safe, caring and orderly educational environment. The purpose of this policy is to provide for the protection of students’ physical safety, social connectedness, inclusiveness and protection from all forms of bullying and harassment, regardless of their gender, race, culture, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Appeals Policy
A student or a parent of a student who is enrolled at Studio9 may appeal a decision of an employee of Studio9 which significantly affects the education, health or safety of the student.
